Learn Commercial Real Estate
Commercial Leasing
Happy Tuesday, It's a new week. Let's make the best of it!
Growing your client list is journey. This journey can be broken down into steps we take daily and implement into our lives with the simple actions we take each day.
For example, going into a convenience store? Say hello to the owner.
Going into an office building? Find out who and what the companies inside the office building do. Look at the Lanyard on the bottom floor to see what businesses are there. You can write them down or take a photo for later.
Heading to a local clothing store? Find out who the owner is, and if they have more than one location.
Stopping to have conversations with local business owners is a key element in building your client list.
Small Things Make a Big Difference:
Getting to know the business owners in your market area and beyond are the elements that make up the deals that matter.
(See what I did there?)
Different Point of View:
You have gone a long way to obtain your real estate license. You have dedicated many hours to get to this point. The point where you can legally earn commissions and promote yourself as a real estate agent. You are here.
Use each day as an opportunity to reach out to whom you come in contact with. Go a different route on your way home or your daily routine. Go out of your way to meet a business owner inside of your vertical.
Be careful and be smart.
What Remains the Same:
Business owners know other business owners, who know home and building owners. This world of real estate and real life is inter connected. Growing your network is growing your net worth.
Join local business groups for entrepreneurs and start-ups. Attend Pitch events and planning commission meetings. If you can't attend get a copy of the business owners/ permits/ topics discussed.
Check out this property tour video of a redevelopment project happening in Oakland right now with Steve Peterson. The famous area has been an epicenter of greatness in Oakland for many years, and not it's this properties "return of the Mac."
