Learn Commercial Real Estate
The new week brings upon us lots of opportunities.
Real Estate is a competitive industry. There is always the next investor, buyer or agent racing toward the finish line.
Stumbling toward it at high speed in efforts to knock you out of the way.
Is that the reality of real estate?
For some it may seem so.
For some real estate, especially commercial real estate seems like a ninja training course.
Having to jump through hoops of fire and climb vertical walls just to get a deal closed.
For some this is the reality. BUT NOT FOR US.
We as wealth builders leave the idea of competition in the dust.
We understand that although some other agent or investor thinks they are in competition with us, but they are not.
How does one play the game and not get played?
Set boundaries - You would even check your team mate if they weren't playing the game correctly right ?
Having a partner in commercial real estate is everything. Even in you are so called " competing " for other business in your market with other agents.
Find a way to collaborate.
In residential you may be working with different sellers each time, but in commercial you may be working with the same Landlord over and over again.
Other agents may be also working with the Landlord.
If anything I hope the idea of having competitors inspires you to continue being your best.
Small Things Make a Big Difference
Being nice and firm while remaining professional is key. It's always great to connect with other agents, but be smart. Don't show all of your cards. This isn't to tell you that all agents can be trusted.
After all everyone is human and has their own motivations.
What I am saying is, don't be afraid to connect with other agents in your market area.
Different Point of View
Imagine having a friendly agent that you could get together with and chat about clients, deals , work -flow and more! This agent understands the terminology and work structure , giving you an opportunity to chat and vent to.
They can also be someone to run ideas by,
What Remains the Same
Competition is an illusion.
Winning is real. Stay on your own path ,but don't forget to look around you.
Keep your cards close- never reveal your client's information and don't give away your clients.
As always have a productive week.
